Adewolf is a Nigerian born musician, songwriter, and art director based in Vancouver. He started experimenting with music and art from a young age and began professionally showcasing his creative abilities over the past 4 years.
His musical style is an amalgamation of Afrobeats, Hip hop, R&B, and Reggae to form a blend of genres he likes to define as Afrohop.
Adewolf went on to write and release his first EP titled ‘iPharaoh”. Adewolf went on to open for major afrobeat stars, including Falz The Bad Guy, Afro B, and Teni the Entertainer across various venues in Vancouver.
His success with the EP also landed him an opening performance for Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy at the Vogue Theater. In that same year, he worked with Lagos based director, Abba Makama, to compose singles for his independent films “The Lost Okoroshi” and “Green White Green” which both premiered at TIFF.
In 2020 Adewolf won the CITR Shindig band competition with his band, The 3ribe. In 2021 his music was featured on the Vodka Splash social campaign where he wrote, produced and directed a commercial. He is currently working on his EP titled “Lostalgia” a musical collage of his memories from growing up in Lagos, Nigeria, scheduled to be released later this year.
